The 2015 Pantone Colour of the Year | Marsala

All across the internet everyone is talking, writing, & blogging about the Pantone Colour of the Year. So what exactly is this "colour of the year" thing? Since 2000 Pantone has selected a Colour of the Year based on "the colour influences which best define the global zeitgeist." Trends in film, art, politics, technology, i.e. in every area of culture, are sought out, unravelled, and blended together to select the Pantone Colour of the Year. This year's colour, as you may have guessed, is Marsala.

Marsala is the gorgeous, rich, elegant, and earthy colour that is painted all over this blog. Its name is derived from a robust Italian red wine, a namesake perfect for a red tone with this degree of depth and sophistication.

And it is its depth and sophistication that makes Marsala truly and thoroughly wedding-worthy. So if you are a bride-to-be searching for that perfect wedding colour that is elegant, rich, bold, and earthy—Marsala might just be your answer. Either way, take a moment to gush over the gorgeousness that is Marsala.
