One of the best parts of the changing seasons is the hunt for new fabrics, colours and trends. Fall is a favourite in the Davie & Chiyo studio as we get to experiment with richer colours and bolder prints, but we aren't the only ones feeling the warm fuzzies in the cooler temperatures. The fashion world is renewed in Fall, coming alive with new inspiration and direction, and little things like the hotly anticipated September issue make the shorter days and back-to-school/back-to-work season a little easier to digest.
This September we couldn't wait for the annual Fall fabric pilgrimage! We were off to meet our friend Fumie (yes, another Fumi!) for a peak at her latest shipment of vintage kimonos straight from Japan.
As usual, the collection was unreal... so much colour, such delicate fabrics and despite being close to 80 years old, all were beautifully preserved. The photos speak for themselves, so take a look below at our design process - from fabric selection to unique one-of-a-kind clutches.
